John Truslow is the Director of Ethics and Business Conduct at BAE Systems’ Electronic Systems sector, headquartered in Nashua, New Hampshire (USA). Before coming to BAE Systems in February of 2010, John was the Ethics Program Manager for XO Communications, a Fortune 1000 telecommunications company. Previously, John was the Associate Director of the Center for Ethics and Corporate Responsibility at Georgia State University, the Assistant Director of The Center for the Study of Professional Military Ethics at the United States Naval Academy, and a Senior Advisory Services Consultant with the Ethics Resource Center (now called the Ethics and Compliance Initiative). Prior to his career in Ethics, John spent nine years in the IT field as a software instructor, a hardware technician, and UNIX systems administrator.

John earned a master’s degree in Philosophy (Teaching Ethics Option) from the University of Montana, where he studied under Dr. Deni Elliott. He has a B.A. in Political Theory from the University of the South, in Sewanee, Tennessee, and is currently pursuing a Certificate in Healthcare Ethics from the National Catholic Bioethics Center.

Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, John currently lives in Amherst, New Hampshire, with his wife Allison, and their two daughters, Merrie Frances and Anna. He volunteers as a member of the Ethics and Mission Committee of the board at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, and as a member of the President’s Business Advisory Council at The University of New Hampshire. He recently served as a board member of Home Health and Hospice Care in Merrimack, NH, and as a member of the Advisory Board at the Center for Ethics in Business and Governance at St. Anselm College. John is a runner, a cyclist, a sometimes-juggler, and a supporter of the West Ham United Football Club.
